Project Description Mo-tivate Hounslow is a partnership project with Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, Sport Impact and The Mo Farah Foundation with the aim of driving up sports participation within the communities of Hounslow with a focus on the 14 to 25 age group, particularly those that are currently inactive. Three Mo-tivators will be employed across the three partner organisations who will be led by the targets and review of a steering group. The team of three will work together with common goals taking individual responsibility for elements of the project but coming together to deliver sessions, festivals or specific initiatives and general planning. The team will also work to create further capacity recruiting and training volunteers and developing people currently not in education or employment through the project. This is a creative role using community landscapes to create engaging sports participation opportunities. We have agreed the use of open spaces such as the many parks across Hounslow with the LB Hounslow service provider Carillion. Examples of activities that could take place are start up courses for runners working towards 1,3 and 5k distances, park-fitness, football fitness training and games etc. We hope that applicants will see the many opportunities to get local people active within this exciting partnership project. The initial contract length will be 3 years with a view to creating sustainability beyond the project.
